Summit School has an after School Club program and Alex joined the Art Club. On April 12th, 2011 was his Art Show Gallery and we got to go and look at all the Art work he accomplished along with the other kids in the group. He was so excited to show off his favorite pieces. He loved working with the clay and liked the charcol technique as well. He did a fantastic job.
So My little Brett decided that the Vaseline, Lipstick, and toothpaste weren't enough fun so he had to try his hand at the Hershey Syrup. Now I know at this point it looks like I am not keeping tabs on this little Monkey but really I turn my back for 5 minutes and by then the damage is done.
When this happened I wasn't a happy mama because if you have ever tried to clean Hershey Syrup out of carpet it is not a fun thing to get out. It is really sticky and stains. I realized I would laugh at these pictures one day and would appreciate seeing them again but at the time i was trying to keep my cool. It took me 2 hours to get the mess cleaned up and when I went to put the last cleaning rag in the laundry room I heard the Fridge door slam and pitter patter of little feet and I went running to see what was happening and guess what he had maple syrup in his hand starting to make droplets on the floor but i caught the bottle just in time for no major messes. REALLY!!! I thought the crying and the yelling really got through to him I was upset but that didn't stop him. Poor thing just really has a creative side to him and he can't help himself but to explore in these messy ways. LOL But throught all that -- His cute face just melts me everytime and I can't help but love the little guy.
Apparently he mentioned to me that the dinosauars wanted some chocolate.
